Avoid negative thinking

Following on from my thoughts of motivation and energy it is important to avoid negative thoughts as this will destroy my motivation and focus. I experienced this a bit whilst I was training for New York Marathon. I was worried that I would cramp up and not be able to finish. If this had happened I would have been really really disappointed. This actually made me very cautious during my training and I held back because I did not want to injure myself. I am not going to do this for London.

It is also interesting to note that the negative thoughts tend to  grow in you mind and mole hills can become mountains.

The important point is to stay focused on the goal.
