It was the running club Chevening run on Tuesday. This is a group 12 mile run to Chevening. I decided to run with the slower longer group. This was a tough run the first 5 miles to Knockholt is mostly up hill. When we had arrived at Chevening we had done 8 miles and I was a bit worried that if I had to run 8 miles back I would not be able to make it. Fortunately we came back via a shorter route and we only ran 13.5 miles.I have not been doing so much running recently and it was a tough run . I pretty much had to walk the last mile. There were lots of people on the run and it was great to catch up with all my running buddies. I am going to ramp up my running soon when I start training for Beachy Head.

I've just looked at the profile of the beachhead course...rather you than me!
ReplyDeleteBeachy is a pretty tough run with great scenery will require some serious training.

I love the Chevening Run, the picture on this post doesn't really give the gradient through Minny Wood justice.
ReplyDeleteOn the Sunday after we ran down that hill but this time along the fence-line on the left so that we could stay in the shade which was treacherous in the baked mud
Jerry I agree, the picture does not really do it justice. I really like the Chevening run, especially the run down to Chevening.
